In October 1997 the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria organized and hosted the 43rd General Assembly of ATA, that was held for the first time in a country outside NATO-territory. On that occasion Prof. Todor Vardijev created a special postal stamp and commemorating coin. In December 1997 we also organized an exhibition of Kiril Bozhkilov. The Atlantic Club was also one of the co-organizers of the concert of the 60th anniversary of Milcho Leview in December 1997. Also the Club was among the organizers of the concert of Raina Kabaivanska. The Club also initiated exhibitions and activities related with the works of the artist Prof. Todor Vardijev. The Atlantic Club presents the book of Prof. Mincho Draganov The North-Atlantic Exclusiveness. Premiere of the book New Dimensions of Freedom, by the popular Bulgarian author and journalist Alexander Andreev. The premiere was followed by a concert of the world-famous orchestra of the composer Goran Bregovic. The Atlantic Club is a co-sponsor of an exhibition of oil paintings by Kiril Bozhkilov. Commemorating Gala Concert of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra dedicated to the 50th anniversary of NATO and the 8th anniversary of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria organized by the Atlantic Club and the mayor of Sofia. First day in use of a commemorative postal stamp and philatelic issues designed by Theodor Lihof, a graphic designer, released by the Bulgarian postal Services dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Atlantic Alliance. Exhibition in the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Post Palace in Sofia of postal and philatelic materials issued in Bulgaria and abroad dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Atlantic Alliance.
