Christian Artists Finland CAF was officially founded in 1992, the activities being inspired many years also before that by Jukka Leppilampi and some other artists. CAF covers all art forms from music & visual arts to literature, mime, videos, etc. There are members from all churches, and along with professionals, there are students and amateurs as members. CAF promotes come-together evenings and other connections and encouragement among its members and art lovers, and also the use of various Christian artists or art forms in churches and organizations. The members operate in the secular field as well. CAF sometimes arranges also its own seminars and workshops, but likes to co-operate with those who need artists. So far, CAF has not been a Christian program office to actually represent and book its members, or to arrange festivals, but it collects information about its members and distributes it widely in Finland, using for example printed directories. Since 1996, CAF has had a web directory, introducing many of its members. Groups or organizations are members, along with individuals. The members get a newsletter (mostly but not only in Finnish) 4 times a year. CAF can give statements or act in some similar manner in the national level. CAF has no office nor employees, but arranging these things is based on volunteer work. CAF - and some of its members - are interested in international contacts and possibilities.
