This organization is active since 2003 , has members in the following arts and disciplines: choral ensamble, piano, guitar, singing, painting, design, TV production, Radio and communications. History: It began in 2003, founded by Luis Alfredo Díaz and his wife Montse Pons, founders also of Multifestival David, 21 years ago. They started this community project with a couple of other friends and brothers. Little by little, other people has arrived from everywhere arround the world, specially Latin America. Our life together is one of our richnesses. Goals: Deliver the message from the Gospel, using the media, contemporary technology and the traditional arts. To bind artists into this challenge and also beetwen themselves to work together and be more effective. Values: The life together being from different countries, different conditions (singles, married, children, young people and not so young...), the service to the Church and obedience to our pastors. Religion: Catholic Missionstatement: Evangelisation Activities during the year: - We have retreats in our house, specially for Christmas and Eastern, but also receive people all year long. - Concerts, performance tours, animation of other events and activities to wich we are invited (schools, parishes, sanctuaries, masses, etc.) with multimedia, singing, etc. - Organization of the Multifestival David in Spain and abroad (Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Perú, Costa Rica, etc.) - Organization of MFD Academy Number of members: 21 people. Special interest/activities: Multifestival David, the MFD Academy (for the training of people who want to serve the Gospel and the Church, artistic and human). Newsletter: the Multifestival David edits a magazine each year. Besides the news and notes that are broadcasted in David Radio and David TV (both by internet) Why should persons join us: We do not "proselytize". It is a call to live in community. We recieve people who feel the call, regarding to our needs in the evangelization work. That includes not only artists, but technicians, and office personnel. Any help is always welcomed. Why to come and live this way? Because it is a way to give your life to God and to your brothers and sisters.
